On Thanksgiving 2011
November 24, 2011 – 9:19 amThanksgiving should be for the purpose of its name. The turkey, ham and trimmings are wonderful as is the family fellowship and friendships many enjoy on this day.
There are two types we’ve observed this season.
The thankful. Who gather to express their gratitude together and share in the bounty they may enjoy or be provided by others. Those who care about others more than themselves. Those who understand that blessings proceed not from themselves or from government.
The sheople who are driven by envy, anger and an unwarranted and undeserved sense of entitlement to the fruits of OTHERS’ labors.
It is interesting to us that group one seems to be composed by a huge majority of those people of faith, while the other group is dominated by secularists, humanists and others who would rather complain than be thankful.
We at the American Freedom Network wish you and yours a joyous and content Thanksgiving. We are thankful for our friends and supporters but also for those who’s vision of America isn’t based in our founding principles. All Americans.
Happy Thanksgiving!!!
