Reading Michael Adams on Townhall is invariably a hoot.  I rarely read the comment threads but…
“Reply 18″, below, demonstrates a concise sense and adherence to reality that one wishes most people would employ.

For those who are concerned with “gender identity”.

Sex is determined exclusively by one’s chromosomes.

Those who have the XX pattern are female. Those who have the XY pattern are male.

The extraordinarily rare cases where people have anomalous chromosomes or where their phenotype does not match their genotype can be treated sympathetically on a case-by-case basis.

Those physically and chromosomally normal people who insist on creating a private reality which denies the actual reality of their medically normal bodies should have their mental illness treated rather than indulged and forced upon the rest of society.”
