Reform is needed but at what price

September 10, 2009 – 4:39 pm

Hope and change aren’t built on printing presses.  I may be the only one who reads here that believes Government can benefit society but I’m worried.  I am discouraged that ways to provide for our citizens are only considered that use enormous amounts of borrowed money.  Can’t regulations be improved?  Can’t stimulus money be used to provide coverage for those in need.  I hate to say I don’t believe our President.  I just can’t imagine how what he promises jibes with what is real.

The issue is a real need.  I think anyone who needs health care should receive it and I believe that treatments should be affordable.  I think Government can have a positive hand in that.  I don’t think what is being proposed in the answer though.  It seems that changing the nature of the country and expanding the power rather than influence of government and politicians is the goal.

  2. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news but our government isn’t working for the people. The vast majority of what they do is for the elite. Two reasons for this, # 1: there is no money and perks in the politicians pocket when they do something good and right.# 2: they are very deeply in bed with the elite and the plan is to keep the American people in financial bondage and they have done a very good job of this. The really sad thing about all this is the American people(sheeple) have allowed this to happen through ignorance and inaction.
