If it happened to you
June 9, 2009 – 6:42 amImagine yourself, a public school teacher/bureaucrat who has been called upon to “counsel a young boy who had been molested by an older male teacher”. As you would expect; “The confused student naturally turned to an adult figure for explanations, support, and direction.”
Would you take immediate action to protect the boy and go after the alleged perpetrator? That’s what I would do and I had imagined that ANY person with a normal conscience would do.
It certainly isn’t what the man appointed to an office responsible for “public school safety and drug prevention” did. Instead; “when this issue came to Jennings attention, even though the law
required his notification of the parents, the school district, and the
local law enforcement authorities, Jennings now admits he notified no
one. He expresses no regrets of his actions then, and has never
indicated if a similar situation to materialize that he would follow
any different path.”
This man has a wide variety of morally questionable or reprehensible aspects to his background.
How’s that for some hope and change?
One Response to “If it happened to you”
In a civilized country, like Singapore, a punk-enabler like Jennings would get a caning, at the least, as would the molester he protected. Freaks and monsters belong in prison – or on a gallows – not in positions of trust and authority.
