Cheney: Saddam not involved with the 9/11 attacks
June 2, 2009 – 6:09 pmThanks, Dick, for clearing that up, almost seven years after the fact. Even though the allegation that Saddam was involved with 9/11 was never used by the previous Administration, per se, it was certainly not something that they disabused the American public, many, if not most of whom, thought Saddam was involved. In the run-up to an un-necessary war, this false notion was a major Administration ally in selling the use of arms to the American people.

Anyone not “disabused” of that fact is/was willfully ignorant. It was, as noted, never part of the case/justification for the illegal invasion of Iraq. The WMD’s are a lie joins the Sadaam wasn’t involved in 9-11 statement as a constant talking point of the collectivist/socialist weakness (“peace”) movement. Typical of such followers of the Goebbels philosophy to just keep repeating the lies until sheep(ple) begin to believe it as truth. The only valid objections to the Iraq conflict are rooted in law. It was unconstitutionally initiated and was a gross violation of national sovereignty. Any country or group of countries could invade the U.S. because they don’t like our rulers using the justification that the U.S. used. A dangerous precedent. I’m glad we won, I’m sorry we went. I love our service members, their dedication, professionalism, courage and ability to complete the mission regardless of the politics.
