Its a Grand Old offensive Flag

I have always resisted the pat patriotic response “if you don’t like the country then leave”.  I resist because a part of the greatness of American Freedom is that the misguided, ignorant, lazy and sheople can spout off nonsense that would get them killed or imprisoned in most of the world.
Some things though are just insulting as all get out.  Imagine a co-worker putting up an American Flag at work in honor of Memorial Day.  Another claims to “be offended” by the flag and complains to management.  As repugnant as that may be, imagine that management sides with the “offended” party rather than their own country’s symbol.  It really happened.
Fortunately the outcry caused the entity that made the bone headed decision to apologize and reverse its decision.  Is offending immigrants more important than our country’s flag?  Why did those people come here if not for what that flag represents?
This is one reason why we must be activist in our defense of American Freedom.
