Power of Tea!
April 21, 2009 – 12:07 pmDear Friends: I am sorry posting has been light, but my Team at the Southern California Tax Revolt Coalition has been busy trying to upload and distribute the meaningful moments and message, and prepare for our May 16th Tea Party that will highlight the ballot for the state’s May 19th special election.
As a reminder, the May 19, 2009 California election ballot includes seven propositions. The SoCal-TRC positions on the Propositions are as follows, and more information can be found by clicking here:
NO: 1A, 1B, 1C, 1D and 1E
YES: 1F and 13
I have some breaking news: The Tea Party movement in California has led to a union putting money into the anti-tax Proposition suite discussed above.
The state council of the Service Employees International Union deposited $500,000 into the campaign to defeat Proposition 1A on Monday.
That’s the spending constraint/tax extension measure on the May 19 ballot.
The donation by SEIU is the largest to date in the No on 1A campaign, coming on the heels of low six-figure contributions from the California Faculty Association, the California Federation of Teachers and SEIU (again) last week.
On a final note: My first job was writing for newspapers, and I was taught to report the news, not tailor it. Please check out this Founding Blogger’s post, which shows you clearly how upset American are now at the elite media trying to belittle them. This clip shows citizen Kathy Barkulis’ assessment of CNN reporter Susan Roesgen’s reporting skills. And to further highlight the power of Tea, Americans upset with the continuing bias of the media have organized to fire Roesgen.
Please come to the Shrine for the story of Pierre, a naturalized American citizen who was a member of the French military.
