There Is No Monopoly on Genocide

The London Times online ( http://www.timesonline.co.uk/tol/comment/columnists/guest_contributors/article5634450.ece ) reminds us that, contrary to what the diversity dictators and multicultural mafia would have you believe, Europeans do not have a monopoly on evil.  The article references, among other things, the Mongols catepaulting plague-infected corpses into besieged Kaffa, with the lice, rats and people infected thereby spreading the Black Plague to Eurpoe, causing 75 million deaths.
I mention it because I’ve been told – in school, in discussions, and I’ve read it countless times, too – that Europeans spread smallpox to the Indians, nearly wiping them out (this, before we knwe how smallpox was spread, and it kills white people, too, BTW), that millions perished in the Middle Passage (they did, no question), and the whole Nazi thing, as if behind every Eurpoean lurks another Hitler.  By contrast, the genocides of Mao, Pol Pot, Tojo, Stalin, etc., are excused, denied or ignored. 
What I don’t recall hearing, a few academic bright spots excepted (Mr. Brown, I’m thinking of you), is that genocidal criminality is endemic to human nature, and is not the sole peoperty of the west.  indeed, in the West it is seen as a moral crime.  No other civilization held Nuremburg Trials to accuse, try, and convict those guilty of genocide, according to due process of law.  They would’ve been killed, outright, by the victors anywhere else, and those victors, like the soviets in World war two, would’ve visited atrocity for atrocity, savegery for savagery, an eye for an eye.  Justice and mercy are not exclusive to our civilization, but they enjoy full flower here, as a civilizational norm, and this they do nowhere else.
So, here’s to the Times for having the audacity to hope that their readership will understand than Mongols spreading the plague to Europeans were villians, and that the West can be victim, too.  The self-haterd that plagues us now blinds too many to this truth; it is my hope that knowing the truth will set enough free to keep the West free.  Wes Pruden, a Washington Times columnist and conservative thinker, started a Facebook group, “The Council of the West,”( http://www.facebook.com/group.php?gid=6155906910 ) in the hope of starting a conversation about how to rebuild Chrsitendom.  Big things come from small beginnings; perhaps this is such a beginning.  Perhaps not.  Regardless of the particulars of the’ how,’ if the ‘why’ motivates enough of the remnant who have not bowed the knee to the Baal of the multiculturalists to act, perhaps we can make a fight of it.  Perhaps.
