Only Government?

January 28, 2009 – 1:52 pm

Our Obamessiah President said in Virginia on January 8th; “only government can provide the short-term boost necessary to lift us from a recession this deep and severe”.

This is wrong on so many levels.

How “deep and severe” is this “recession”?  Well first the definition of “recession” ought to be used when the word is used.  Obama apparently doesn’t know that definition or is just being dishonest.  This economic situation isn’t nearly as “deep” nor “severe” as the Carter economy for his whole presidency.  It certainly in no way is comparable to the “Great Depression”.

Only government can do this?  Government failed to resolve the depression despite the geometric growth of government organizations, spending and “programs” we remain saddled with today.  Only American business and workers can resolve the economic situation.  They can only do that with LESS (or none) government involvement.  Simply reduce taxes, government expenditures, government regulations and associated bureaucracies and the economy will not only “recover”, it will boom.  As it did when Kennedy and Reagan did those very things.

CHALLENGE: Name one instance where the government “fixed” anything by legislation or “programs”.

Finally, and worst of all, the government “stimulus” or “recovery” (as President BHO likes to say) is grossly unconstitutional?  Under what articles are the government agencies giving away this citizenry’s and taxpayer’s monies to private businesses?  Where is “bail out” enumerated?  Read the stimulus boondoggle yourself.  Where in the Constitution (or our founders’ writings and documents) was the role of “providing a short term boost” enumerated?

Do you think only 46% (McCain’s vote total) of American voters truly care or understand American government and the powers enumerated by the Constitution?  Educate your friends and contact your congress-critters.  Don’t let the collectivists bury American Freedom under a cloak of “caring”.
