Obama Kills White People
January 31, 2009 – 4:33 pmAt least 42 people have died in Kentucky from a deep freeze in the region. Yet, Obama turns up the thermostat and has steak dinners with supporters.
A great synopisis from Instapundit:
WHERE’S FEMA? Nearly 1M without power 5 days after ice storm. “Local officials grew angrier at what they said was a lack of help from the state and the Federal Emergency Management Agency.”
Obama’s turning up the thermostat, and Taylor Marsh is already snarking: “Well, this certainly seems fitting in the afterglow of Republican stiffing the new, popular President, all the while people are freezing because of a failed power grid. Nope, can’t spend money on that.”
UPDATE: Bill Quick:
“Where’s FEMA?” is not the appropriate question. The appropriate question is, “Where is the mainstream media, screaming in one united voice, that the absence of FEMA demonstrates the utter fecklessness and failure of the current President and all his policies?”
Plus his barely concealed racism, of course.
Yeah, not seeing much of that.
The Anchoress, one of my favorite bloggers, has a similar take:
Heck of a job, Barry. While you’re staying warm over there, why don’t you send some help to those folks so they can get their heat and their lights back on, their water running and their lives back on track?
FEMA spokeswoman Mary Hudak said some agency workers had begun working Friday in Kentucky and more help was on the way. Hudak said FEMA also has shipped 50 to 100 generators to the state to supply electricity to such facilities as hospitals, nursing homes and water treatment plants.
“We have plenty of folks ready to go, but there are some limitations with roads closed and icy conditions,” she noted.
What? Is she saying that natural disasters impede reaction time? Who would have thought it? At least the state governments are not holding back help! FEMA began working on Friday? But the storm hit on Tuesday! How can that be?
But still, why isn’t the president down there, hugging people? Why was he schmoozing congress with steak dinners while people were suffering? Why is this going on for almost a week without the president going in there and fixing everything? It’s been way more than 100 hours! Where is Obama? Why does the government not show us what is really going on? Where are the pictures of stranded people? We want to see the pictures! People have died! Show us the bodies!
To be honest, I really don’t believe Obama is targeting white people. I think the man is just naturally incompetent. However, I don’t think President Bush was targeting blacks in New Orleans in the wake of Hurricane Katrina, either. What I do find appalling is the lack of fair-minded and reasoned coverage from the members of the elite media.
One more point: The media’s complete silence on this subject means that fellow Americans don’t know to send voluntary donations for aid and relief, as Americans are apt to do in such situations.

Obama did not carry Kentucky, Missouri or Arkansas in the election. Could this be payback?

President Obama doesn’t need to kill white people – Jerimiah Wright can incite people to do that for him, if that’s what he wants, and Bill “I’m Not a terrorist” Ayers already did. ( Of course, rich kid Ayers bombed working class cops, so that doesn’t count, right?) Like Sarah Barracuda said, he, “Pals around with terrorists.” It’s not active hatred, but rather a disregard for the unwashed and unenlightened that explains Obama’s ignoring Kentucky. He’s a citizen of the world, after all, and can’t be bothered, unless it’s to have condoms distributed to Kentucky schoolkids, as part of the ‘stimulus package.’
The MSM are useless. Pravda provided balanced coverage, compared with our lapdog, fool media etablishment.

Well this is why most of the globe think ill of the United States. Not because of President Obama dear boy but because of ignorant fools like yourself, Anchoress and Instapundit who fail to see the difference between several thousand people in eastern Kentucky on the side of a mountain and hundreds of thosuands in a below sea level bowl after a Cat4 hurricane.
This sort of worldview that you have is exactly why your “permanent majority” of religious nuts, warmongers, and the intellectually impotent has been replaced by something that might one day actually be respected as a comeptent government. You and white trash like you are our enemies and the enemies of Peace and you place will be the ash heap of history.

I love when the black helicopter deposits such as the Brit SUBJECT (Americans are free, not subject) with the made up name and stuck up suffix. Does “religious nut”, “warmonger” and “intellectually impotent” mean *disagrees with you*? We encourage you to comment further so that liberal “tolerance” and collectivist adherence to factual data can be demonstrated. The name calling is fun (and funny) in the place of any substantive view. Are 100,000 more important than 1,000 in Merry Olde England?

Dear Cavalor: I am sure that you meant no disrespect, and want to gain greater understanding. Therefore, I would like to address some of your comments, in the interest of better Anglo-American relations.
Let me assure you I am no “war-monger” (I detest war, but support it as necessary to defend the freedom, liberty, life and happiness of myself, my family, and my countrymen). I am no “religious nut” (I attend church on Easter and Christmas, and am more apt to be reading the Egyptian Book of the Dead than the Holy Bible). I flatter myself that I have some intellectual competence, as I run a biotechnical safety consulting business and have several science-based college degrees.
I think your rather harsh judgment about Republican politicians and some of my favorite pundits (e.g., the Anchoress) is also unwarranted. On the whole, most of us want what is best for the USA — and generally, this is also best the rest of the world (e.g., our support of the British during your Battle of Britain comes to mind). Just because we may disagree with the approach does not make us evil.
With respect, I think it behooves you to re-read my post. The attack was not on Obama, but on the blatant hypocrisy of the American Press. In fact, it was the main point of the entire post, as I clearly state in the final paragraphs. The elite media in this country spent 8 years deriding, diminishing, and mocking President Bush — their ingratiating, groveling, and worshipful treatment of Obama is startling in comparison. Both types of press handling weaken our country because the Press was set-up to be a watchdog against corruption and individuals attempting to usurp great power.
Finally, the icestorm in Kentucky was a significant natural disaster. The deaths of 42 people is highly newsworthy, as this is a relatively high death tool when compared to other disasters. Gov. Steve Beshear described the fallout from last week’s ice storm as the state’s largest-ever natural disaster. The financial toll will be very high and a quarter-million people without power for a significant period of time.
So, if you are so inclined and would like to put some of your idealism into action, here is the preferred donation mechanism to help our friends in Kentucky:

I am glad you stopped by! I hope you pour a spot of tea and at least consider the opinions expressed by my learned compatriots here. People can disagree with eachother without being disagreeable,
