“If we counted our blessings as often as we carped about our problems, we would be overwhelmed with gratitude”.

I’m not sure I agree wholeheartedly.  With the principle and idea, yes.  That many Americans have the capacity or care enough to count their blessings is the question.

The Donkey party makes its entire living “carping”.  The republicrats only spend about half their time “carping”.

You live in the most free and most prosperous country in the history of the world.  Revel in that goodness instead of fixating on your imagined “evils”.
