Right on energy analysis

July 31, 2008 – 11:42 am

Ken Blackwell has it right on regarding sensible energy policy.

Government “solutions” proposed by the Donkeycrats won’t address the supply issues for energy in the U.S. It might, slightly, constrain demand but won’t impact supply at all. The Demoncratic party wants to:

  • Increase government mandated (IOW artificial) vehicle mileage standards
  • “Regulate” the oil market in some (many?) fashion(s)
  • Tax the oil companies. Now THERE is an incentive to do business.

So what is the right thing to do? It isn’t rocket science but the sheople revel in their ignorance and senses of entitlements and envy.

Of course we should be working towards alternative forms of energy. We also CONCURRENTLY should be building nuclear power plants or electrical power generation. We also should be ACTIVELY exploiting the (at least) 900 BILLION barrels of oil in/on U.S. controlled territory.

When should we be doing all 3 things (Nukes, exploitation, R&D for alternatives)? NOW!!!

Instead our Republi-Demon-crat rulers combatively do NOTHING. Well they are going on their summer recess with out addressing the issue.

What IDIOTS are going to vote for the current obstructionist pols CAUSING the supply and cost problems in energy? Too many we are afraid. See the sheople comment above.
